New Generic Launch—Get Generic Advair® Now!

Industry NewsMasters News

The combination steroid and bronchodilator inhaler Advair® is now under generic manufacturing via Prasco through a partnership with the brand manufacturer GSK. The popular inhaler is used to treat asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema and has sold over $938 million in the US alone. GSK retains pediatric exclusivity for Advair® until August 2026.

Prasco CEO Chris Arington said “The Prasco authorized generic, fluticasone propionate and salmeterol Inhalation Powder will provide patients with the same quality and experience as the brand product.”

Masters is proud to offer our customers generic Advair® allowing them to both save money on their bottom line and pass along savings to their customers. With a product as frequently used as generic Advair®, make sure your pharmacy has all the product it needs to meet demand. Give your account manager a call today to secure your stock!

More info about Advair® from GSK—

ADVAIR treats two of the main causes of asthma symptoms—airway constriction and airway inflammation—to help prevent symptoms in the first place. Results may vary. ADVAIR is not used to relieve sudden breathing problems and won’t replace a rescue inhaler.

If you are on a long-term asthma control medicine, such as an inhaled corticosteroid, and your symptoms keep coming back, talk to your doctor and find out if ADVAIR may be right for you.

ADVAIR should be used only if your doctor decides that your asthma is not well controlled with a long-term asthma control medicine, such as an inhaled corticosteroid.

ADVAIR DISKUS is a prescription medicine used to treat asthma in patients 4 years and older. ADVAIR HFA is a prescription medicine used to treat asthma in patients 12 years and older. ADVAIR is not for adults and children with asthma who are well controlled with an asthma control medicine, such as an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medicine. ADVAIR is for adults and children with asthma who need both an ICS and long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) medicine.
